Elrika Hamdi is an energy finance analyst at IEEFA covering the nexus of energy transition, economics, finance and politics in the South East Asian region. She has covered the Indonesian power and energy market extensively over the years, and built her reputation as a trusted analyst by industry players, investors, and government officials.
With over 15 years of on-the-ground experience in the energy and finance sector, Elrika was involved in numerous projects related to renewable energy, rural electrification and energy efficiency market funded either by private companies or donor agencies such as USAID, AFD, GIZ, and UNEP. Prior to that she was a corporate advisory consultant in Singapore dealing with company listings and corporate mergers & acquisition.
Elrika is also an active investor in a small renewable energy company in Indonesia, where she led her team to win a number of grants to build renewable energy related projects.
Elrika holds a Bachelor of International Relation from the University of Indonesia, and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Aston Business School.
Elrika loves traveling and exploring new places. She is an avid diver and loves all sea creatures except sea snakes.
