Darren Chua

Darren Chua joined Summit Power international in 2021. His responsibility includes spearheading business development and M&A activities in Bangladesh, South and Southeast Asia for the biggest IPP in the emerging world of Bangladesh in both transitional power, renewables power and cross-border infrastructure opportunities.

Prior to joining Summit, Darren had more than 10 years of experience in infrastructure and power utility investment in both developed and emerging markets like Australia, Singapore, China, Indonesia and Myanmar. His experience ranges from listed capital and private equity deployment in early developmental greenfield to operating stages of infrastructure projects. The asset classes including gas to power, renewables, telecommunication infrastructure, water and wastewater projects.

Darren holds an MBA with Alliance Manchester business school with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with NUS. He is a CFA and CAIA charter holder while he is also active chapter leader in the CAIA Singapore Chapter and have provided advisory to CFA content on infrastructure and sustainability investment. He further sits on the investment committee of Vynn Capital, a leading Southeast Asia venture capital looking to early-stage technology platform investment. ”
