Gabriele Catalano

Gabriele is Business Development Manager and Head of Technical Sales for NHOA Energy in Asia. He began at NHOA’s headquarters as proposal engineer for the Australian Blyth project—later commissioned as the company’s largest BESS online at 200MW/477MWh—and was then the first person deployed to Taipei to start NHOA’s presence, supervising the installation of the first project and supporting office set up. Since then, he has been based in Taipei, working across system engineering, technical sales, and business development, while expanding the team. At NHOA, he is responsible for business development in Asia, where the company currently has 500MWh of BESS online.

Before NHOA, Gabriele worked at EDPR in engineering, construction, and energy modelling. He holds double master’s degrees in Renewable Energy Engineering from UPC Barcelona and KTH Stockholm, and double bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and Tongji University in Shanghai. He is fluent in four languages, including Chinese.
