Steve Mercieca

Steve is Regional co-Head of Standard Chartered’s Project & Export Finance business in Asia. Steve has focused extensively on the renewable energy, cleantech, and sustainable infrastructure sector over the last 20 years across different geographies and technologies. Within the Asian infrastructure investment sector, the Project & Export Finance business is a leading advisor and financier for the cleantech, transport, power, digital, resources, and social infrastructure markets. Such investment focus aligns with Standard Chartered’s targets in delivering $75 billion in Sustainable Infrastructure and Cleantech financing by the end of 2024 and $300 billion in green and transition finance by 2030. Steve Mercieca holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Southampton, UK.
